BIOGRAPHY
A unique talent, Nick has already enjoyed a glittering career as a Saxophonist and Composer in the industry, crafting a rich and colourful sound that encompasses Jazz, Hip-Hop and R&B.
A highly passionate and focused musician from a young age he moved from London to Leeds in 2009 to study Jazz performance at the Leeds College of Music. Graduating in 2012 with the George Murphy Prize for Saxophone he has been driven to work across genres as a highly creative improviser and performer.
In addition to summer festival tours and European shows Nick has played in some of the Uk’s most prestigious venues including the Jazz Cafe, XOYO, Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho and The Southbank Centre for David Byrne’s Meltdown Festival. Performing at events with artists like Brand New Heavies, Omar, Giles Peterson and Parliament Funkadelic and receiving countless radio airplay across the BBC and SBTV features, Nick has worked closely with the band ‘Nubiyan Twist’.
A resident Saxophonist at Bar Fibre in Leeds he has already collaborated and worked alongside some of the biggest names in the industry including Pav Percussion and Alison Limerick, performing in clubs across the UK and legendary club destinations like Mallorca. Playing with virtuosic flare, rich soaring melodies and funky riffs he has a sound that was made for the club!
